Access to back issues of Consumer Reports Magazine is provided through EBSCOhost. It includes searchable full text of articles from 1991 to the present, with citations available for issues from 1985 – 1990.

EBSCOhost contains searchable databases of thousands of periodicals, ranging from general interest magazines and newspapers to academic journals.  Many include full texts of articles and even scans of original pages.

 

HeritageQuest Online
Genealogical search site including U.S. census, family histories, and local histories among other resources.

Take practice tests for many standard college and professional exams. Also includes tutorials for basic computer use and various software packages.

Readers’ advisory information on both fiction and nonfiction books.  Find books by genre, age group, author similarity, and more.

Business and residential information for reference and research.  Includes white pages lookup, detailed business information, and job listings.

 

St. Louis Post Dispatch
Access to back issues of the St. Louis Post Dispatch is provided through NewsBank. The archive includes full-text articles from 1988 to present, and full-page images from January 23, 2020 to present.

The State of Missouri’s Driver’s Guide, used in the preparation for obtaining a driver’s license, can be accessed on the Department of Revenue’s website. You can view individual chapters, download the full document as a pdf or access DOR’s YouTube channel for an audio version

Ancestry Library Edition
Ancestry Library Edition provides access to over 30,000 collections containing 11 billion individual records.  Some features of Ancestry.com, such as user-created family trees, are not available.

 

Newspapers.com (Webster Groves papers)
Searchable scans of old Webster Groves newspapers that the Library has on microfilm, including the Webster Times, Webster Groves Times, Webster News-Times, and Webster Advertiser.
