Book Signing/Scrapbooking Program
July 17, 2009, 4:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Author Joanna Campbell Slan will join us for a scrapbooking crop and book signing on July 17, 2009, at 4:30 p.m. Joanna is the author of many books on scrapbooking and of the Kiki Lowenstein Scrap-n-Craft Mystery series. Copies of her newest book, Cut, Crop & Die, and the first book in the series, Paper, Scissors, Death, will be available for purchase and signing. Please bring your own scrapbooking supplies, drinks, and snacks. The Library will have a Cricut Expression and several cartridges available for your use during the crop.

Life magazines for sale
Beginning Wednesday, June 24, 2009, the Library will be selling our old copies of Life magazine for $1.00 per issue. Issues span the years 1936 - 1997, though not every issue of every year is available. Please inquire at the reference or circulation desk, if you are interested.

Who Can Use Webster Groves Public Library for Free?
Anybody who lives in St. Louis City or County.
If you live in a city with its own Municipal Library Consortium library, you get your card at that library and it can be used here. (These cities are Brentwood, Ferguson, Kirkwood, Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, University City and Valley Park.)
If you live anywhere else in St. Louis County, or in the City of St. Louis, you can get a Webster Groves Public Library card for free.

WGHS Yearbook Collection
As mentioned in our October 2007 newsletter, the Library is attempting to expand its collection of Webster Groves High School Echo yearbooks. Currently, we have 54 issues covering a span of 80 years. Following is a list of years we are still missing. If you have any edition of the Echo you would be willing to donate, particularly from the years listed below, it would be greatly appreciated.

- 1950s : '51, '52, '54, '55
- 1960s : '65, '66

Introducing Webster Groves Online
Webster Groves Online is a new online project of the Webster Groves Public Library, designed to give you the fastest access to Web sites in Webster Groves. WGOnline attempts to catalogue every Webster Groves business, school, church, organization, and other institution which maintains a Web presence.
